Every Monday, 7:00 pm, in Maadi.
Come for a fun evening, to make a specific piece, or to start learning jewelry making as a profession.
There's no set piece everyone makes: you choose your technique, and you can work on something completely different from the person next to you.
How it worksPick a technique.
Choose from the list below, or tell us what you'd like to make and we'll help you choose.
Pick your piece. Beginners choose from Eman's suggestions. Have your own idea? Bring it, and we will decide together whether it can be done in one class.
Make it, wear it home. Classes last 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the piece. All tools and materials are included.
Techniques to choose from
Wire shaping: bend and form wire of different thicknesses into clean, confident pieces, finished without soldering.
Sawing metal sheet: cut clean lines and saw out shapes and cut-out patterns from a flat sheet.
Setting a stone without drilling: hold a stone in place with wire, no drilled hole needed.
Cold enameling (color): add true, clear color to metal, transparent or opaque, without a kiln or a torch.
Enamel casting: pour enamel into silicone molds to make small colored shapes for your piece.

you move up to the next level
.1. The Monday Bench: the foundations Learn the core techniques above, one piece at a time, at your own pace.
2. The next level: design and soldering The same system: you book class by class or as a course, and you choose what you work on. Now you go deeper into design: how to develop an idea into a finished piece, and the details that make it work. You also learn soldering, so you can join metal permanently and build more complex pieces. You can join the next level after a Monday Bench course, or straight away if you already have experience: just show Eman some of your previous work.
Practice sessions are open between and after courses, so you can keep working at the bench and build your skills.Not sure where to start? Tell us your goal, whether that's a career in jewelry making or your own brand, and Eman will plan the path with you.

Good to know
Age 14 and up.
No experience needed for The Monday Bench.
Taught in Arabic and English.
Location: Street 262, Maadi, Cairo.
Book by filling in the form; your seat is confirmed once you've paid in full by Instapay or bank transfer.
Can't make it?
Tell us at least 48 hours before and you can move to another Monday or get a full refund. With less notice there's no refund, but you can move your class once.
